5.6.2 Feed-dog position in stitch plate
Check:
•
The feed-dog must be evenly distributed in the stitch plate.
Correction:
•
Loosen screw 15 (T8).
•
Move feed-dog carrier shaft 1 sideways into required position.
•
Retighten screws 15 (T8).
Recheck:
•
When lowering the feed-dog, it must drop by its own (self-weight
load).
Note: When feed-dog is engaged, the feed-dog is only activated after
one full rotation of the hand wheel.
5.6.3 Feed dog height
Check:
• Switch feed-dog on.
• Place feed-dog level gauge 398024.03.1+ on
first front row of teeth a.
• In the feed-dog's highest position, the peaks of
the feed-dog teeth must be at least 0.05 mm
higher at the front than at the back.
Examples:
front 0.95 mm; back 0.90 mm
front 1.00 mm; back 0.90 mm
front 1.00 mm; back 0.95 mm
Correction (feed-dog front section):
•
Loosen screw 12 (T10).
•
Pressure spring 3 causes the adjustment plate
to move up independently.
•
Position 1.0mm gauge and press down.
•
Retighten screw 12.
•
Check position again after retightening the
screws.
Correction (feed-dog rear section):
•
Slightly loosen screw 14 (T8).
•
Use a 5.5mm open-end wrench to turn
eccentric pin 16 until it reaches 0.9mm level.
•
Retighten screw 14 (T8).
•
Check position again after retightening the
screws.
