5.4.2 Needle distribution
Note: The machine must be switched on in order to use the Service Program.
Refer to the safety instructions please.
Check:
•
Start the machine in the service program.
•
Use pinning tool # 001356.50.00 to pin stitch-width stepping
motor.
•
Switch the machine off.
•
The needle must be in the centre of the needle opening in the
stitch plate.
Correction:
•
Remove LED sewing light screw 33 (T6).
•
Use a screwdriver to raise clip a, then slide sewing light down
and out.
•
Use pinning tool # 001356.50.00 to pin stitch-width stepping
motor.
•
Sligthly loosen screw 26 (T10).
•
Use eccentric key 001361.70.00 on item b to adjust needle bar
support until the needle reaches its required position with
respect to the needle opening.
•
Retighten screw 26 (T10).
•
Reattach sewing light 18 and tighten screw 33.
•
Remove pinning tools.
Recheck (fine adjusting):
•
Switch machine on (power on).
•
Select zigzag stitch.
•
Set to maximum stitch width.
•
Turn handwheel and watch if left and right swing of the needle
penetrate at the same distance from the stitch-plate opening
edge.
•
If the distances differ, re-adjust using eccentric key 001361.70.00.
5.4.3 Zigzag stitch width limiter
Note: The machine must be switched on in order to use the Service Program.
Refer to the safety instructions please.
Check:
•
Start the machine in the service program.
•
Select test 7 – stitch-width stepping motor test
(Chapter 6 Test 7 Stitch-width stepping motor
test).
•
Needle bar support mustn't touch right and left
zigzag-stitch width limiter.
Correction:
•
Loosen screw 6 (T10).
•
Select test 7 – stitch-width stepping motor test
(Chapter 6 Test 7 Stitch-width stepping motor
test).
•
Position limiter.
•
Retighten screw 6 (T10).
