5.5 Hook, needle drive and feed-dog movement synchronization

5.5.1 Needle drive synchronization (base shaft/main shaft
synchronization)
Check:
1. Remove ventilator fan 24.
2. Remove lower screw 11 (T20 M4X12) of main motor; loosen
upper screw, raise motor, secure.
3. Use adjusting tool 030349.70.00 (on the flat side) to pin
main-shaft balance piece (picture Y).
4. Hook drive crank must be pinnable with pinning tool
002733.50.00 (picture Z).
Correction:
•
Loosen second screw 6 on drive belt flange in direction of
rotation.
•
Use adjusting tool 030349.70.00 (on the flat side) to pin
main-shaft balance piece (picture Y).
•
Loosen first screw 6a on drive belt flange in direction of
rotation.
•
Twist drive belt flange until hook drive crank can be pinned
(picture Z).
•
Retighten screws 6 und 6a
on drive belt flange
•
Remove pinning tools

5.5.2 Position of thread-guiding plate and thread-positioning plate

Check:
•
With the needle position to the far right, the clearance between thread-
guiding plate and needle should be 0.3 to 0.5mm and between thread-
guiding plate and hook-race ring 0.7mm.
•
The lug of the thread-positioning plate must lie flush against the hook-
race edge.
Correction:
•
Slightly loosen two screws 13 (T8).
•
Align thead-guiding plate and thread-
positioning plate in such way that the distances
are within the mentioned tolerances.
•
Retighten two screws 13 (T8).
