Thermo Scientific
Power in vessel heater—Used in conjunction with the vessel
heater connector when operating without a TCU. Provides the
main source of power to large S.U.B. vessel heaters and can be
connected directly to the vessel heater or to an external power box
for the heater. Note: It is essential that the power supplied matches
or exceeds the power requirements. If an external power box is
used; the supplied voltage and power must match the vessel heater
power requirements, unless separate power is provided to each
Note: If a large heater is used, it may be necessary to connect the
heater to a separate circuit than the controller to avoid overloading
the supply.
Vessel heater—Used in conjunction with the Vessel Heater In
connector when operating without a TCU. This connector provides
control for large S.U.B. electric heaters.
Agitator motor—This connector is used to connect non-digital
agitators. Digital agitators are connected on the main connector
panel (section 1.4).
Ground stud—To the right of the Vessel Heater connector and is
discussed in section 2.3.1.
Remote E-Stop—This is a multifunction port. For 2,000 L vessels,
it is connected to the E-Stop button located at the top of the vessel.
For other vessels, it can also be used to trip other control panels if
the local E-Stop button is pressed.
