See "Media Sources" in chapter 6 to determine whether to load media short or long
edge first.
To prevent jams, make sure the cassette's lift plate is lowered, all loaded media is the
same size, and media does not exceed the loading limit mark (fig. 1.34).
5. Set the media size dial for the size of the loaded media (fig. 1.35). Then, reinstall
the cassette cover (fig. 1.36), making sure the cover side tabs fit into the
cassette's grooves.

6. Slide the cassette into the printer until it snaps in place (fig. 1.37).
If you load media larger than letter/A4, extend the output tray's paper support (fig.
1.7).

Connecting the Power Cord

1. Make sure the printer's power switch is in the [O] position (fig. 1.38).
