1. Changing the Piich Shift and Hold Effects

We already explained in Section | how to use the pedals to obtain the Pitch Shift and Hold effects. In this section we'll show you haw you
can modify the way these effects work to suit your playing style.
Modifying

Pitch Shift
A Works
®© Press EDIT| SYSTEM
|from the Play mode.
You'll see the following screen.
Only the *
" will be flashing.
o Press the PARAMETER|NEXT
ibutton five (5) times.
That brings up the "P - SIFT A"

Now only the " 5 " will be flashing.
ð Press| ENTER/YES

This selects the Pitch Shift A function. and the screen will change to this:
... Change this value with the VALUE

The " 5" stops flashing
This is the Range screen where you can set how far the pitch will change (up or down) when you press
the Pitch Shift A pedal.
+ When you set the value of the Pitch Shift A (or B) Range parameter too low, the retrigger
of the note may occur during the pitch change.

The number indicates the number of semi-tones, so that, for example, a 72" means a whole step up, or
2 7-12" an octave down. The maximum range
is — 24 to +12 (an octave up or two octave down).

That moves you to the "RAISE" screen.

This is the Raise Time screen, where you can set how long it will take for the pitch to rise (or fall) to
the point set in the Range screen.
(B) Set the Pitch Shift Rise Time with the VALUE
and[ DEC |buttons.
Values range from | 10 63. A "1"
gives
you an almost instantaneous sweep up (or down) to the new
pitch, and larger values make the change more and more gradual.
