• Do not install the device in potentially explosive areas.
• Be aware that wireless devices may cause interference with other devices. Avoid using the device in areas where
medical equipment is installed.
• To ensure compliance with the RED 2014/53/EU directive, ensure that the device is operated at least 20 cm away
from the body.
4.2.5 Serial port connections
The Regesta Smart PRO is equipped with three RJ45 connectors to provide serial ports. However, depending on the
model, the two RJ45 connectors labeled "Serial" may not be functional.
4.2.5.1 Console connector as serial port (CONF connector)
The console port can be converted into an RS-232 asynchronous DCE serial port. This particular port has the follow-
ing characteristics:

4.2.5.2 Asynchronous serial ports
The optional Asynchronous Serial Port feature requires additional hardware. Some models are equipped with two ex-
tra serial ports, which are provided through two RJ-45 connectors on the Regesta Smart PRO. Please note that the
functionality of these serial ports may vary on certain models. To determine if your device offers serial ports and to
obtain information about their type, please refer to the label.
