TF bench alignment
1) Heel height: 0 mm
Bring the prosthetic foot into maximum dorsiflexion (see page 21) so the
complete adjustment range can be accessed.
2) Sagittal plane
→ Footshell with markings: Place alignment reference line on mark
ings.
→ Footshell without markings: Place the alignment reference line in a
posterior position in relation to the middle of the foot (25 mm for
size 22 to 24, 30 mm for size 25 to 28)
3) Frontal plane
→ Footshell with markings: Place alignment reference line on mark
ings
→ Footshell without markings: Set exterior rotation to approx. 5°
(alignment reference line in the middle of the second toe)
► Observe the information in the prosthetic knee joint instructions for use.
5.3 Static Alignment
The static alignment of the Taleo Adjust consists of two stages. You
have to perform both stages in order to set the minimum and maxim
um heel height.
Ottobock recommends checking the alignment of the prosthesis during both
stages using the L.A.S.A.R. Posture.
1) Without footwear:
→ To perform the static alignment without footwear, bring the pros
thetic foot into maximum dorsiflexion.
→ Use the set screws to make any necessary adjustments.
2) With everyday footwear:
→ Carry out the static alignment with the everyday footwear.
→ Only adjust the angle of the sagittal plane by changing the heel
height(see page 21), not using the set screws. Using the set
screws changes the maximum/minimum adjustable heel height.
The alignment recommendations (TF modular leg prostheses: 646F219*, TT
modular leg prostheses: 646F336*) can be requested from Ottobock as
needed.
5.4 Dynamic Trial Fitting
The optimal gait pattern is developed during dynamic fitting. The prosthesis
is aligned optimally in the frontal plane and the sagittal plane for this pur
pose.
► Use everyday footwear for dynamic fitting.
