Normal operation

In normal operation, the spinning window is typ-
ically mounted in the interior of the machine or
in an environment exposed to media.
The unit is connected to the main switch of the
machine and is therefore in constant operation.
The rotor of the unit is mounted and rotates
at approx. 2300 revolutions per minute. It is
sealed off from the environment by the supply
of purge air. The unit is capable of generating
sufficient air flow itself if a passive purge air sup-
ply is used.

Operation and maintenance

During operation of the machine, Rotoclear S3
must also be in operation and continuously sup-
plied with compressed air.
Rotor
The rotating disc contains exclusively rotationally
symmetrical elements. As a result, it may not be
readily apparent that the disc is rotating.
Do not touch the rotating disc while it is rotating.
Risk of minor injuries.
The rotor disc may splinter upon impact or when
encountering external forces. As a result of this,
fragments of the glass disc may be flung outwards
radially and cause injuries.
When performing tasks in the direct vicinity of the
Rotoclear S3 which may result in damage to the
disc, keep a safe distance and wear protective
goggles.
The motor must not be permanently blocked by
mechanical means (e.g. by dirt) and must be able
to rotate freely, otherwise the rotor drive may be
damaged (loss of warranty).
To ensure safe and damage-free operation, also
observe the safety and warranty instructions in
the sections on mounting and commissioning
when operating the system.
There is a permanent magnet in the rotor. Beware
of the magnetic forces if you have an active medi-
cal implant. Keep a minimum distance of 20 mm
between the implant and the rotor.
When the system is in nominal operation, there is
a possibility that active medical implants in the im-
mediate vicinity may be affected. The measured
