Silvia PID Installation Guide
Use the same careful method of connecting this jumper to the white connectors as you
followed when re-wiring the brew thermostat.
WARNING:
Under no circumstances should you leave any bare wire or any
portion of the metal connectors exposed in this location.
Step S5 – Tidy up
The difficult part of the steam package installation is now complete. If you have been
successful, congratulations are due. As our web pages warn, the installation of the
steam package is a far more complicated undertaking than the basic PID installation.
Locate the two yellow control wires that came connected to your relay. Route these to
the rear of the machine, into the pump compartment, using the same scheme as was
recommended for the basic PID installation.
At this point, you should use your small wire ties and tidy up your wiring job. Try and
avoid leaving connections in a location where they could come into contact with any
metal. Also, try and minimize the locations where your new wiring (or original Silvia
wiring) will be in constant contact with metal, especially the boiler.
Step S6 – Replace the front cover
Locate the four (4) small screws that you removed from the vertical sides of the front
enclosure panel. Align the front cover and reinstall these screws. Before final
positioning, check the location where the stainless screw will need to go back into the
brew group. Make sure the hole in the stainless sheet metal panel is properly aligned
with the threaded hole in the group.
