Once you have located the SSR power lead wires, fasten the ring terminal ends to
terminals 1 and 2 (the AC side) of the SSR. (Polarity is not important so it doesn't matter
which wire is connected to terminal 1 and which to terminal 2). Please note that your
SSR will probably include four (4) square washers (and not the round washers shown in
the photo below). The square washers should be located directly below the screw head,
and "outside" of the ring terminals on your new wires.
Next, fasten the new, blue insulated male spade connectors to the insulated female
connectors that you just removed from the brew thermostat. Polarity is not important, so
connect them to either side.
With a little care and effort, the insulating shield on the ends of the new wires will slide
over the factory installed insulators on the female connectors, leaving no exposed
conductors.
Make sure these connectors go on securely and are making good electrical contact with
Silvia's original wires.
