Silvia PID Installation Guide
Part S
Version 96-1.01
This is a stainless steel screw and it has two washers under the head. Since the screw is
not magnetic, you will probably need to use needle nose pliers to remove it once
loosened. Put this screw in your Jello cup (yes, even the highly technical steam package
needs the Jello cup).
Next, remove the black plastic steam knob from the front of the machine. With light to
moderate force, it pulls straight off of the valve shaft. Set the knob aside in a safe place.
Next, locate and remove the four (4) small screws that secure the vertical edges of the
front panel to the black iron frame. You will need to pass your Philips screwdriver
through the access holes provided in the frame for this purpose. The photos below show
the pair of screws on the right side being removed. There is another pair of screws on the
left side that must also be removed. Use caution, and needle nose pliers, to avoid
dropping these screws down into the drip tray cavity.
