Setup and control are provided via Extron Product Configuration Software (PCS), front panel
controls, and Simple Instruction Set (SIS) commands. The MediaPort 300 can be configured
and controlled by a host PC running Microsoft Windows and Extron PCS configuration
software via the MediaPort 300 USB Configuration and Ethernet ports. SIS commands can
be issued via the USB Configuration and Ethernet ports.
In addition to configuration and control capabilities, the MediaPort 300 includes front panel
LED indicators that provide comprehensive visual feedback for HDMI input and loop-through
signal presence, HDCP status, and USB signal status for host, video, and bidirectional
audio.
The 1-inch high, half rack wide, 6 inches (15.24 cm) deep enclosure (24.1cm) deep
enclosure can be rack mounted or placed on or underneath furniture. For information on
mounting options and UL rack mounting guidelines see

USB Video

The MediaPort 300 accepts signals up to 4K/60 and scales video to a USB 5 Gbps
output. To ensure the HDMI source is presented with the highest possible image quality to
a soft codec, the MediaPort 300 incorporates video processing technology that provides
optimized image scaling and frame rate conversion, preserving detail and legibility of source
content. Output signals up to 4K/30 to match common software codec requirements are
dynamically configured by the software codec as it responds to real-time CPU usage and
bandwidth conditions between near-end and far-end locations. The video output is delivered
as an MJPEG-encoded stream over a USB connection supporting rates up to USB 5 Gbps.
The MediaPort 300 supports two configurable USB groups that each contain one or more
USB output resolutions. The pre-populated custom groups are user configurable, allowing
you to populate the group with any or all USB output resolutions. This allows you more
control over the USB streaming resolution selected by the software.

Audio Functions

The MediaPort 300 accepts a microphone input and program sources as analog audio and
de-embedded HDMI two-channel audio. The USB connection provides an audio interface
with a personal computer, similar to a standard USB sound card with send and return audio
capability. This allows the MediaPort 300 to send a two-channel mix of the microphone,
analog program, HDMI audio, and USB playback audio to the computer. The interface also
allows the MediaPort 300 to receive two audio channels from the computer, completely
eliminating the need for any analog audio connections to the personal computer.
The audio functions of the MediaPort 300 are unique, depending on whether the device is
operating as a standalone device or in conjunction with an external DSP processor and AEC
