Remote
Configuration and
Control
This section describes the connections through which the MediaPort 300 can be configured
and controlled remotely via SIS commands and the MediaPort 300 web page. Topics include:

SIS Commands

SIS commands are a set of commands developed by Extron that consist of one or more
characters per field and do not require any special characters to begin or end a command
sequence. When the MediaPort 300 determines that a command is valid, it executes the
command and sends a response to the host device. All responses from the product to the
host end with a carriage return and a line feed, indicating the end of a response character
string (one or more characters).
The MediaPort 300 can be configured and controlled via a host computer attached to the
rear panel LAN port or front panel USB Config port. SIS commands are entered using an
application such as Extron DataViewer, available at
Help file to use this program).
NOTE: Telnet on TCP/IP port 23 must first be enabled to use Extron DataViewer

(SSH). Enter the IP address of the MediaPort 300 where requested (if no address is
entered, this field defaults to 192.168.254.254). Use 22023 as the SIS via SSH port
