5. Install the seven screws that secure the system board to the chassis.
6. Install any of the following components that you removed from the system board:
• SAS/SATA ServeRAID adapter (see
• Battery (see

• DIMMs (see

• Microprocessor and heat sink (see
• Adapters (see
"Replacing a ServeRAID adapter" on page
7. Reconnect any cables to the system board that you disconnected during removal (see

8. Secure the cables with the retention-clips.
9. Install the air duct.
10. Install the side cover (see
11. Stand the server back up in its vertical position.
12. Install bezel (see

13. Reconnect the external cables and power cords; then, turn on the attached devices and turn on the
server.
Important: Perform the following updates:
• Either update the server with the latest RAID firmware or restore the pre-existing firmware from a
diskette or CD image.
• Update the UUID (see

• Clear the CMOS data (see JP1 in
