3.2 First steps with the LRF 7047

We recommend using an Interface Kit (Article Number 914752) to run a LRF 7047 with a PC. In this kit a
USB-power supply cable and an interface cable with a Samtec Connector are included. These two cables
have to be joined together via the blue Dubox connectors. The Samtec connector has to be plugged into
the Samtec System connector of the LRF. The USB connector is connected to a USB port of the PC. To
run the LRF 7047, power (8-42 V) has to be provided via the red (+ pole) and black (- pole) pin plugs. The
pointer interlock switch is protected by the red cap. To arm the pointer lift the red protective cover and
flick switch on (see figure 10 and figure 11).
