6. Replace the wireway access cover.
7. Five and six UPS preassembled systems only. Continue to the following section,
"Installing the UPS Internal Batteries."
8. If installing optional EBM(s), continue to "EBM Installation" on page 33.
Otherwise, go to "Parallel System Initial Startup" on page 42.
Preassembled systems that have five or six UPSs are shipped with the batteries for
the top two UPSs on the pallet outside of the rack.
The UPS internal batteries are heavy (see page 130). Each battery tray holds two rows of five batteries. Use
caution when handling the heavy battery trays.
To install the battery trays into the UPS 5 cabinet:
1. Verify that all battery circuit breakers on all UPSs are in the OFF (O) position (see
Figure 14).
NOTE The load connector breaker controls the load connector only, not the output power cord.
