Parts of the appliances are supplied via the on-board
power supply by 12 V batteries� In case of high electri-
cal loads or a short circuit, very high currents may flow
in the cables which make the cables hot and may lead
to cable fire�
Follow the installation instructions� Especially in-
formation about cable cross-sections, fuses and
insulation�

Protection against electrostatic discharge
(ESD)
Electrostatic charges can damage electronic compo-
nents (circuit boards)�
Observe the ESD regulations�
Ensure potential compensation before touching the
electronics�

Equipment safety
Information may be attached to appliances�
Observe information attached directly to the
appliance�
Keep the attached information in a legible condition
at all times and do not cover it�
Safety devices may be attached to appliances�
Risk of injury if the safety device is missing or faulty�
After installation make sure that all safety devices
(covers, safety instructions, earth cable, etc�) are
present�
Replace faulty and unusable safety devices�

Using parts (additional components, spare and wearing
parts) outside the manufacturer's specifications may
affect the function and safety of the appliance, damage
the vehicle and/or limit the warranty and manufacturer's
liability�

2.1

Special information for installation

er installation can put people in danger and
cause damage to property�
Note the installation and operating
instructions�

2.1.1
Heating while driving
For heating while driving, the UN ECE regulation 122
stipulates a safety shut-off device to prevent the uncon-
trolled escape of gas in the event of an accident� The
Truma MonoControl / DuoControl CS gas pressure reg-
ulation systems fulfil this requirement�
National regulations and rules must be followed�
If a safety shut-off device (e�g� Truma MonoControl /
DuoControl CS) is not installed, the gas cylinder must
be closed while driving and notices must be attached in
accordance with the valid regulations�
2.1.2 Regulations
The rules in the installation and operating instructions
as well as the relevant laws, guidelines and standards
must be observed� If the regulations are not observed,
the operating permit for the appliance becomes void
and, as a result, the vehicle may also not be operated in
some countries�
Material defect claims, warranty claims and liability
claims against Truma are excluded in the cases de-
scribed in the operating instructions under the heading
"Warranty exclusions"�
2.1.3 Location of the heater
The appliance and its exhaust gas system must always
be installed so that they are easy to access at all times
for service work, and also easy to remove and install�
All cut-outs and openings in the floor or roof must be
kept free of obstacles�
The driver must not come into contact with the heater
from his seat� The heater must not be installed directly
behind the driver's seat�
Avoid installation in narrow passageways� In particular,
accidental contact with hot surfaces or escaping warm
air must be prevented by suitable measures where
vulnerable persons such as children are present� The
installer is responsible for this�
