2.11 Installing the auto ignitor

Connect the auto ignitor� Insert the plug connections
(Fig� 31-3) and (Fig� 31-4) into the relevant bushing
of the auto ignitor and make sure they are fitted
securely�
Slide the auto ignitor (Fig� 31-1) with the heat screen
as far as it will go into the lugs again (Fig� 31-2)�

2.12 Gas connector

The 30 mbar operating pressure of the gas supply must
correspond to the device's operating pressure (see type
plate)�
The gas supply line must be attached to the gas con-
nection on the heater with an 8 mm outer diameter by
means of an olive screw connection�
The gas connection to the heater must not be bent!
When the connecting nipple is being tightened it must
be carefully counterheld with a spanner�
The duct routing must make it possible for the heater to
be removed again for service work�
Before connecting to the heater, please ensure that the
gas lines are free of dirt, shavings and the like�
Liquid gas systems must comply with the technical and
administrative regulations of the respective country of
use (e�g� EN 1949 for vehicles)� National regulations
and rules must be followed�
Set up the gas connector for the heater in accord-
ance with the above specifications�

2.13 Control panels / cover
The position of the control knob bushing (Fig� 32-4) for
the control knob (Fig� 32-3) is determined by the in-
stallation position of the heater (right-hand or left-hand
installation)� The control panels for the fans (Fig� 32-
1) can be installed in any free opening in the cover
(Fig� 32-6)�
2.13.1 Installing control panels
Push the control knob bushing (Fig� 32-4) into the
relevant recesses�
Push the control panel for the fan (Fig� 32-1) into the
relevant recesses�
Attach the connector on the control panel cable for
the fan to the control panel�
Close off each free recess in the cover with blank
covers (Fig� 32-2)�

2.13.2 Connecting the lighting*
The description below applies when S 3004 CI and
S 5004 CI covers (with illuminated gas control panel
and pre-assembled sensor electronics) are used or a
lighting kit is retrofitted�
NOTICE
Electrostatic charging can destroy the elec-
tronics
Ensure potential compensation before touch-
ing the electronics�
Insert the connector (Fig� 33-1) in any slot on the
sensor board (Fig� 33-2)�
Install the cables without kinking and secure at the
clamping brackets (Fig� 33-3)�
