Connection and Settings

Connecting to the ETERNUS DX/AF

When two or more AC sensor units are connected, connect the AC sensor units with the AC sen-
sor port connection cables.

Connect the AC sensor port connection cable to the other port on the branch connector.

Connect the connector at the other end of the AC sensor port connection cable to another AC sensor
unit.

Up to 14 AC sensor units can be connected.
Do not attach a termination resistor to the branch connector on the AC sensor unit. Doing so makes
operations unstable.
Connecting to the ETERNUS DX/AF
Connect the power synchronized unit to the ETERNUS DX/AF with the RS232C cable.
Two RS232C cables (1m) are provided with a power synchronized unit. If the length of the cable is too short or
three or more cables are required, purchase more RS232C cables.
Up to four ETERNUS DX/AF storage systems can be connected to each power synchronized unit. When power syn-
chronized units are cascaded, up to eight ETERNUS DX/AF storage systems can be connected.
