Troubleshooting
■ The ETERNUS DX/AF does not turn off with the power synchronized server
Check the following points:
If you still have trouble, leave the power synchronized unit as it is and contact your sales representative or main-
tenance engineer.
The power synchronized unit is not turned on.
A CM or an SVC is in a failed state.
The POWER LED and POWER SENSOR LED are on.

Check the status for the SENSOR#0 port and SENSOR#1 port on the power synchronized unit and the status
for the AC output of the server UPS unit to which the AC sensor unit is connected.
The AC output of all the connected server UPS units needs to be off to turn off the ETERNUS DX/AF.

Check the status for the SENSOR#0 port and SENSOR#1 port on the power synchronized unit and the status
of the cable connection for the AC sensor unit.

When the power synchronized units are cascaded, check the connection status of the cascade cables.
The POWER LED is on and the POWER CONTROL LED is blinking.

Check that the ETERNUS DX/AF is not being turned off.
It may take time for the ETERNUS DX/AF to turn off. Wait for a while and check that the status of the LEDs
does not change.

When different power synchronized units are connected to CM#0 and CM#1, or SCV#0 and SVC#1 on the
ETERNUS DX/AF, the ETERNUS DX/AF must be turned off by both power synchronized units.

Check that power synchronization with the power synchronized unit is correctly set for the ETERNUS DX/AF.
■ The ETERNUS DX/AF does not turn on with the power synchronized server
The power synchronized unit is not turned on.
The POWER LED and POWER SENSOR LED are on.

Check that power synchronization with the power synchronized unit is correctly set for the ETERNUS DX/AF.

Check the connection status of the RS232C cable that connects the power synchronized unit and the ETER-
NUS DX/AF.
When the POWER LED is on.
-
Check the status for the SENSOR#0 port and SENSOR#1 port on the power synchronized unit and the status
for the AC output of the server UPS unit to which the AC sensor unit is connected.
The AC output of at least one of the connected server UPS units need to be on to turn on the ETERNUS DX/
AF.

Check the status for the SENSOR#0 port and SENSOR#1 port on the power synchronized unit and the status
of the cable connection for the AC sensor unit.

When the power synchronized units are cascaded, check the connection status of the cascade cables.
