Installing a redundant AC power supply

Installing a redundant AC power supply
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the power supply or WARNING:
power supply blank to cool before touching it.
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays are populated CAUTION:
with either a component or a blank.
Procedure Procedure
1. Remove the power supply blank.
2. Slide the power supply into the bay until it clicks into place.
3. Connect the power cord to the power supply.
4. Secure the power cord in the strain relief strap .
5. Connect the power cord to the power source.
6. Make sure that the power supply LED is green.
7. Reboot the server if a second redundant power supply is installed in addition to the first redundant power supply.
The installation is complete.
