Names of Parts

IonFocus Unit ionizes the sample delivered from the liquid chromatograph at atmospheric
pressure.
With the ElectroSpray Ionization (ESI) method, the unit performs the ionization effective

for ionic/highly polar compounds in the sample. In addition, the focus electrodes enables
efficient introduction of ions into the mass spectrometer. Unnecessary neutral particles
are removed through the drain.
