Grid is active but not
connected
Grid power does not
comply with
AS4777.2
Grid is not active
Consuming energy
from grid (a.k.a.
buying)
Sending energy to
grid/zeroing
Supplying energy to
grid (a.k.a. selling)
Grid not connected
or system not
operating
Grid voltage and
frequency outside
range.
Solar array

4.6kW continuous or
6.9kW for 10s, at
<45°C)
No fault
Backup is ready
Backup is off / no
power available
SOLUTION(S)
OK. No action required.
This may be normal behaviour following a restart- Wait up to 90
seconds. The LED stabilises to ON when connected.
The inverter checks the grid quality prior to- and following connection
and will disconnect if Grid voltage, frequency or harmonics are outside
the allowable range.
Normal behaviour during a Grid outage. If grid is available:
Turn Grid isolator ON.
Check cables
No action required- this is normal operation. When (Instantaneous PV +
Battery power) exceeds House Demand, the shortfall is met by the grid.
No action required- this is normal operation: The house demand is
being fulfilled by the battery and or PV.
No action required- this is normal operation when PV exceeds (Battery
charging + House demand), the excess power is exported to the grid.

LED.
ON
Check grid quality using the Grid Interactive Power Meter- Press the blue
button to find the Voltage and Frequency.
Ensure all grid, PV and battery cabling is correct.
Check the voltage and polarity of the batteries.
Check the PV voltage and ensure solar voltages are within the specified
inverter PV input range.
Investigate the incident. The performance of the inverter will be reduced
above 45°C. If the temperature rises above 60°C the inverter will
automatically shut down.
Turn PV ARRAY DC isolator OFF immediately (anticlockwise to 9 o'clock).
Investigate fault.
Move the Bypass switch to UP position to maintain grid supply to the
backup circuit.
Reduce simultaneous plug-in loads on the backup circuit.
Contact your installer if overloads persist.
Ensure plug-in devices on the backup circuit are in accordance with
section 0.
Review/reduce permanent devices on the backup circuit.
OK. No action required.
OK. No action required. Battery power is available for the backup circuit
(may take up to 10m after a restart).
Open the Redback app or portal. Set "Backup output" to ON.
Turn Grid isolator ON
Check cabling
