Locking
Charging mode 4 for DC charging according to the IEC 62196-3 standard prescribes secure
locking of the plug connection between the charging plug and the vehicle's charging socket
during the entire charging process. Therefore, an electromechanical actuator in the charging
plug automatically locks the plug connection once it is plugged in. The actuator bolt withstands
very high extraction forces and thus offers maximum protection against the charging plug being
pulled out by force during the charging process.
