You can add the user privileges for a selected user or group via object
properties.
Via 'Object properties' in the 'Edit' menu you can access and change not
only the group membership assigned to the selected user but also, and above
all, his privileges. First of all the name and group membership is displayed
under General. Click on the 'Privileges' index card tab and two windows
will be displayed; one window lists permitted functions, the other lists
non-permitted functions.
First of all the user names will be displayed. Once you have selected a user
name, you can make the following changes via the Edit icon:
– You can change the name and group membership and then hit OK to
transfer this to the system. With the Delete key you can eliminate the
selected user from the data. The New... key allows you to create a new
user and group membership. You can also enter user privileges for
individual users for permitted or non-permitted functions (for
example, starting batch control).
With the groups, after selecting a user group and pressing Edit you can have
the name of the user group and its description displayed. As a superuser you
are permitted to make modifications, activating them by pressing OK. Delete
and New... are both permitted, as described above.
– With the user privileges, you can select from the non-permitted
functions shown in the lefthand window and shift them into the
righthand window, thus making them into permitted functions. You
can do this either by double-clicking on the function or by using the
––> key. Naturally the reverse procedure is also possible with the aid
of the <––key.
