You can select one or more batches from the batch overview list displayed
and activate the desired batch management function via the Batch flexible
menu or the Edit' menu or the 'Context' menu.
By double-clicking on the selected batch you can 'open' it – but only if the
batch has the status planned, released or blocked. Further processing is
handled via the batch planning application since the Open function causes it
to be started automatically. This assumes that batch planning is also installed
as an optional program package. If this is the case, the batch planning list and
also the batch properties dialog will be displayed. For further procedure, refer
to Chapter 6, Batch planning. The batch dialog will be displayed with or
without batch planning (see Figure 3-14).
The batch you have selected will be deleted after you have been asked to
confirm this. Batches which have not yet been exported require special
permission (user privileges, see Page 3-30) before they can be deleted.
Note
Batches which have been assigned to a production order can no longer be
deleted individually but can only be eliminated by deleting the production
order.
With the batch overview list selected, you can call the batch object properties
of a selected batch via 'Object properties' in the 'Edit' menu or via the
'Context' menu:
The filled-out batch dialog (as in Figure 3-14) is displayed with:
– Batch designation, batch status
– Order data such as:
Product name, quality, recipe name, quantity with limits from and to,
and unit
– Starting and finishing dates and times
– Starting mode:
Manual or automatic (can be toggled by clicking)
You can access the recipe header via a button. The recipe header displays the
recipe for the batch with the same information as described under recipe
object properties (for an example of this, see Page 3-15).
