UNIT interface
block (UNIT SSB)
9-4
After the SIMATIC PCS 7 basic blocks have been installed, the block
window of the CFC drawing will show, under libraries, the corresponding
basic blocks for BATCH flexible. These are:
UNIT: interface block for equipment allocation
AF_6, AF_12 or AF_24: interface blocks for automation functions
TRANS: interface block for transition parameters
After this you can insert these and other blocks and interconnect them
correspondingly. When basic blocks are used for BATCH flexible the
following points must be taken into consideration:
Refer to Appendix A for a description of the block. You will need to
instantiate a UNIT SSB for each apparatus as defined by BATCH flexible.
The apparatus name is specified as value for the block connection with
the name UNITNAME. This item of information identifies all of the
AF-SSBs and TRANS-SSBs associated with this apparatus.
Note
The apparatus name must be unique within a CFC-project. However the CFC
editor cannot itself check whether the name actually is unique.
The value for the BA_EN (Batch enable) connection must be set to the
value 1.
The instance name of the UNIT-SSB is not taken into account when
BATCH flexible takes over the configuration data.
