Recipes can be released either in BOM (see Chapter 3) or with the recipe
editor. A recipe which you have opened will be released for testing for
further editing via the 'Recipe' menu and receives the status Released for
testing. A requirement for this is the plausibility of the recipe, which is tested
first (see Figure 4-25, Page 4-37).
Should errors occur during the plausibility check, they will be displayed and
the recipe status will remain as incomplete.
A recipe which you have selected will be released for production for further
editing via the 'Edit' menu and is given the status released for production. A

The difference between testing and production can be used for executing test
batches with graded rights (for example, test mode using water...).

Successful release of the recipe means that the precondition for further
processing has been fulfilled. A batch is created (in BOM) or planned (in
batch planning) on the basis of this recipe and is then, via the control recipe
generator, made into a released batch to allow it to be edited on-line with the
aid of batch control.
Here the record of a recipe which you have selected will be activated. In the
next menu you can set record options for the scope of the record and for
printing. Individual recipes can be written as a record, either in their entirety
or in part. For an example of a recipe record, see Page 3-18.
The print preview feature allows you to view a recipe record on the screen as
it would appear when printed.
The 'Page setup' function allows you to select different records; the path
specified for the layout and structure files of the batches and recipies can be
checked and if necessary changed.
