This chapter deals with editing both planned and released batches.
This includes the functions:
Chaining batches
Canceling chaining
Changing the starting mode
Deleting batches
Releasing batches
To ensure that a batch is not started until its predecessor charge has finished,
you can chain planned and as yet unreleased batches. In other words:
for the selected batch(es) you can specify a predecessor batch from the
batch planning list, or
the selected batches can be chained to each other
To do so, select the batches and then in the 'Edit' menu select the function
'Chain' 'Set'. The 'Chain batches' dialog will open. In the dialog, click on
the corresponding button to select the chaining mode you want:
1. All selected batches have the same predecessor
2. All selected batches are to be chained to each other
If you select (1) type the list place number of the batch you want as
predecessor into the 'Number' input box. Once you have confirmed the
selected chaining mode (click on'OK') the 'Confirm chaining' dialog will
open. Here you can confirm or reject the chaining of each batch either
individually or for all selected batches.
The predecessor numbers and the execution sequence arising from chaining
are updated in the batch planning list.
To cancel an existing concatenation of the selected batches, in the Edit menu
select the function 'Chaining' 'Cancel'.
You can change the starting mode of one or more batches by selecting these
batch(es) and in the Edit menu activating the function 'Starting mode'.
Choose the starting mode you want and confirm the new starting mode in the
corresponding input box.
