You can select one or more production orders in the displayed production
orders list, activating the desired production order management function via
the 'Edit' menu or via the 'Context' menu.
By double-clicking on the selected order you can 'open' it. Further
processing is handled via the batch planning application since the 'Open'
function causes it to be started automatically. For further procedure, refer to
Chapter 6, Batch planning.
You cannot execute this function unless you have the corresponding user
privilege (see Page 3-30). The production order and all corresponding
batches will go into the state completed. It is a requirement that all batches
can be completed.
This function cannot be used unless the optional software package Batch
Data Management is installed. In addition the production order must be
'completed'. You can export a production order which you have selected,
together with all of its batches, in an ASCII file. In the next menu you should
specify the folder and the export file name. The file type is .bfx. Select
'Save' to start the export procedure. These functions cannot be implemented
unless you have the corresponding user privileges (see Page 3-30). Following
successful export the production orders will be assigned the status 'exported'.
The production order which you have selected is deleted from the database,
together with all of its batches. The requirement for this is that the production
order has previously been exported.
To import (from a ASCII file) you need only select an import file (see Page
3-17, Recipe management functions). If you import production orders which
you generated yourself and which had previously been saved to the database
via the export functon, all batches will be imported with the production order
as well. In the case of files generated elsewhere (for example, by a PPS
system), only production orders can be imported without batches.
