This manual is divided into the following thematic areas:
Chapter 1 contains general information about BATCH flexible; in other
words, advantages accruing from the use of BATCH flexible, system
overview and configuration, mode of operation of the program packages,
interfaces, the user interface and the basic principles of operating, and
also a session concept.
Chapter 2 describes how BATCH flexible is supplied, and also installing
and starting the BATCH flexible program package.
Chapter 3 contains a description of the BATCH flexible object manager
which is primarily designed for intersystem management tasks.
Chapter 4 describes the graphic creation of recipes with the aid of the
recipe editor and control recipe generation.
Chapter 5 provides an explanation of batch control: in other words,
everything relating to OS operating and monitoring during batch recipe
execution.
Chapter 6 provides an overview of the functions of batch planning. With
this optional program package you can plan batches as a function of a
production order and which use a recipe to realize a concrete batch
quantity.
Chapter 7 provides an overview of the functions of the optional software
package, batch data management. Batch-specific messages and measured
values are collected via the batch data preparation application during
on-line processing of the batch and saved in the database.
Chapter 8 describes all types of messages (starting with process event
signals and also dealing with operator and system messages as well as
setpoint and actual value messages) and their interpretation or evaluation.
Chapter 9 will help with BATCH flexible planning and design by
providing a checklist for a test run and also supplies answers to the
