1.3.e Schematic Location
Schematics are located on the inside of the electrical panel.
Some schematics have been provided in the appendix of this manual. See "Schematics" on page 100.
1.3.f Connecting and Configuring Actuator and Relay-Controlled Devices
This section describes how to connect actuators, circulation pumps, and relay-controlled devices to the heat
pump.
NOTE:
Combining different brands of variable speed circulation pumps is not supported. These
brands can have different protocols that may be incompatible with each other. However,
using one brand of RS-485 equipped variable speed circulation pump with a different
brand single speed circulation pump is supported. A single speed circulation pump will
require an expansion board as it uses a relay.

Deactivate power while routing wiring to control board.

1. Turn off power at heat pump's power disconnect.
2. Remove heat pump's electrical access panel(s).
3. Route device wiring to the low voltage side of the electrical enclosure and label wires with masking tape and a
pen. Follow all National Electric Codes (NEC) unless State or Local guidelines supersede.
4. Attach device wires to the expansion board. See Figure 1 and 1.3.f.
5. Reattach heat pump access panel(s).
6. Apply power to heat pump.
