The modular power controller has high flexibility in the assignment of functions to the physical outputs. As a result, the instrument
can be used in sophisticated applications.
A function is assigned to each physical output in two steps: first assign the function to one of internal reference signals rL.1 ..
rL.6, and then attribute the reference signal to parameters out.1 .. out.10 (corresponding to physical outputs OUT1 .. OUT10).
In standard configuration, physical outputs Out1, Out2, Out3 perform the control function for zone 1, zone 2, and zone 3, respec-
tively; value 0 (function Ou.P) is assigned to reference signals rL.1 in each zone, and the following values to the output parameters: out.1=1
(output rL.1 zone 1), out.2=2 (output rL.1 zone 2), out.3=3 (output rL.1 zone 3).
Physical outputs Out5, Out6, Out7, Out8 are optionally relay, logic, or analog. In the standard configuration, these outputs perform
the Out5=HB zone 1, Out6=HB zone 2, Out7=HB zone 3 alarm function, respectively. In this configuration, values 2, 3, 4 are assigned to the
rL.2 reference signals of each zone and out.5=5 (output rL.2 zone 1), out.6=6 (output rL.2 zone 2), out.7=7 (output rL.2 zone 3) are assigned
to the output parameters.
Relay outputs Out9 and Out10 are always present, programmable by means of parameters out.9 and out.10, to which available
alarm signal functions are assigned by means of the four reference signals rL.3, rL.4, rL.5, rL.6 in each zone.
Standard configuration has the following assignments:
- reference signals: rL.3=2 (function AL1), rL.4=35 (inverted AL2 function), rL.5=4 (function AL3) and rL.6=160 (forced output function
active).
- output parameters: out.9 =17 and out.10 =50.
This way, the Out9 physical output state is given by the AL1 logic OR of each zone and the Out10 output state is given by the AL2
logic OR (obtained from the logic AND and inversions) of each zone. AL1 and AL2 are the default maximum and minimum line voltage alarms
for each zone respectively.
The "Overheat alarm" setting includes the following alarms, divided by zone:
- STATUS4 bit1 overheat (SCR, LINEterminal, LOAD terminal)
- STATUS4 bit0 temperature sensor fault (SCR, LINE terminal, LOAD terminal)
- STATUS4 bit14 hardware overheat (SCR)
The "Device not ready" setting includes the following alarms:
- Temperature alarm (zone1, zone2, zone3)
- STATUS4 bit6 short circuit current during softstart (zone1, zone2, zone3)
- STATUS4 bit13 CT sensor fault (zone1, zone2, zone3)
- Invalid operating method set on dip-switches
Each output can always be disabled by setting parameter out.x = 0.
The state of outputs Out1,...,Out10 can be acquired by serial communication by means of bit variables.
The following additional configuration parameters are related to the outputs:
Ct.1 = cycle time for output rL.1 of control
