9. Remove the belt from the motor shaft.
The motor can now be removed:
10. Use a 3 mm Allen key to unscrew the two
screws holding the motor.
11. Install the new motor by reversing steps 1
to 10.
Note. When reassembling the line source compartment, route the encoder cable carefully to
prevent interference with the line source position indicator arm (see Figure 12.14 on page 12-17).

12.5.3.6 Replacing the Solenoid

The procedure for replacing the solenoid is analogous to exchanging the AC servo motor. You
perform similar steps but working in the other side of the line source compartment.
Procedure
Prepare for replacing the solenoid as follows:
1. Dismount the transmission scanner from
the detector (see section 12.5.1.1, page 12-
29).
2. Detach the line source compartment from
the bracket (see section 12.5.1.2, page 12-
33).
3. Remove line source compartment covers
(see page 12-41).
4. Detach the connecting cable (see section
12.5.3.2, page 12-43).
