Ultrasonic Generator (P/N 12008) and Signal Circuit Board (P/N 12073) Replacement

WARNING:
The System 83 Plus™ should be powered off when inspecting or replacing components to prevent
electrical shock and damage to the device.
CAUTION:
Proper ESD (Electro Static Discharge) protection should be utilized when conducting this repair.
1. Cut all zip ties to remove the generator enclosure out through the back of the system.
2. With all the zips ties cut, turn the ON/OFF toggle switch to the OFF position.
3. Once the toggle switch is in the OFF position, pull the generator enclosure out.
1. Remove the (4) screws located on the outside of the generator enclosure.
2. Lift up on the generator enclosure lid to gain access to the ultrasonic generator board.
3. Loosen and remove the ultrasonic signal board and all the wires from all terminal screws using a small
screwdriver.
4. Once the wiring is removed, using a 6/32" nut driver, loosen the ground wire nut located on the generator
enclosure near the power ON/OFF switch. Remove only the green/yellow wire that is connected to the
ultrasonic generator board ground.
5. Using a 6/32" nut driver, unscrew the nuts located at each end of the board.
6. Remove the ultrasonic generator board.
7. Install the ultrasonic signal board (P/N 12073) and ultrasonic generator board (P/N 12008), following removal
steps in reverse.
8. Verify the on-board HI/LO switch, SW1, is in the LO position.
NOTE:
Assure components on the ultrasonic generator board are not touching each other and that
the transformer leads are adequately separated from each other.
NOTE:
Record the date code of the newly installed ultrasonic generator board.
