Post-Preventative Maintenance Testing
1. Ensure the System 83 Plus™ is connected to power and the circuit breaker is on.
2. Press the power button on the computer to power up the system.
3. Allow the system to complete the power up process and login to the system using an administrator username
and password.
Post-Preventative Maintenance Test Cycle
CAUTION:
Do not leave the System 83 Plus™ unattended during the test cycle.
1. Upon completion of the preventative maintenance, it's necessary to perform a complete (F6) Wash/Disinfect
cycle to test for possible issues.
Observe the process cycle to ensure all functions are operating as intended.
•
Using a calibrated thermometer compare the onscreen temperature readings with the actual temperature
•
of the disinfectant reservoir and the processing chamber. The actual temperature reading must be within
±2°C of the displayed temperature.
While the system is in operation, check for leaks within the device (ex: clamps, pumps, unions,
•
compression fittings, tubing and solenoids).
Print the completed cycle to verify cycle parameters, verify the detergent and HLD being used match the
•
printout. Confirm detergent and HLD parameters are being met.
Complete all applicable maintenance logs and records.

Document services performed and, if applicable, repair activities.
3. Replaced Parts
As applicable, identify each Lot In and Lot Out and/or each Serial Number In and Serial Number Out of
•
replaced parts in the report.
As applicable, take images of parts or retain parts to be returned for investigation.
