Part Replacement Instructions
Once it has been determined that part(s) need to be replaced, the System 83 Plus™ should be powered off. When
conducting any of the following repairs:
1. Power off the computer and then place the system circuit breaker in the off position.
2. As necessary, safely move the device away from the wall to gain access to the back panel.
3. Remove the back panel by lifting up on the handles and pull the bottom of the back panel away.
4. At the completion of replacing a part, perform the appropriate Preventative Maintenance Testing.
Power
The System 83 Plus™ contains a circuit breaker protected power distribution panel located on the right hand side if
facing the device that routes power to internal components within the system see illustrations below. Turn off the
System 83 Plus™ by powering off the computer and turning the circuit breaker(s) off.
CAUTION:
The System 83 Plus™ is equipped with a circuit breaker switch that is located on the right hand side if
facing the device. Do not place the breaker in the off position, without first properly shutting down the
computer system to avoid possibly corrupting the system software. The circuit breaker switch is for
system protection, emergency shutdown, and service technician use only.

Solenoid Valves
There are (8) solenoid-valves per bay in the System 83 Plus™ that control the flow of liquids or air into and out of the
basins. These valves must be opened for inspection, cleaned, and if necessary, replace the part if the part is showing
signs of wear or mineral buildup (See below for examples).
WARNING:
The System 83 Plus™ should be powered off when inspecting or replacing components to prevent
electrical shock and damage to the device.

Diaphragms
The picture below on the left is an example of a worn diaphragm and a new diaphragm side by side. On the right,
while the diaphragm may be in working condition, O-Rings can swell and not allow the housing to seal. When opening
a solenoid valve, examine the diaphragm and replace if the diaphragm material has bubble formations or significant
distortion. This area is located at the edge of the plate of the diaphragm and extends out 3/16 inch. This area needs
to be void of nicks, impressions, cuts, and debris.
