Filter Replacement and Disinfection
1. Close the hot and cold water inlet valves.
2. Enter the System 83 Plus™ service screen. Activate the water inlet valve to relieve pressure from the water
inlet filtration assembly.
3. Turn off the System 83 Plus™ by powering off the computer and turning the circuit breaker(s) off.
4. Remove the System 83 Plus™ electrical plug(s) from the wall outlet for safety.
5. Disassemble filter housing and empty the contents.
6. Remove and dispose of the filter cartridges. Filters are not reusable.
7. Clean the filter canisters and O-rings.
8. Replace O-rings if necessary.
9. Remove and clean the filter gauges.
10. Replace the water inlet and the Y mixer hoses from the outlet of the water inlet filter system.
11. Add 15 oz. of germicidal bleach to the 25 micron filter housing.
NOTE:
Do not install filters at this time.
12. Reattach the 25, 5, and 0.1 micron filter housings to the filter head assembly.
13. Turn on and login to the System 83 Plus™ service screen. Activate the water inlet solenoid(s).
14. Slowly open the hot and cold water inlet valves and allow the bleach and water solution to flow through the
water inlet filtration system until the filter canisters are completely full with no visible air pockets and water
begins to exit the water inlet baffle in the processing chamber(s). Deactivate the water inlet solenoid(s).
15. Press the rinse switch(es) on the front door. Activate the hand sprayer directing the flow into the processing
chamber(s).
16. Close the hot and cold water inlet valves.
17. Allow the bleach and water solution to soak for 20 minutes.
18. Enter the System 83 Plus™ service screen and activate the water inlet solenoid(s) to relieve water pressure.
19. Disassemble all filter housings and empty the contents.
20. Install a new 25, 5, and 0.1 micron filter cartridge while taking care not to contaminate them. Expose only
the O-ring end of the filters from the packaging. Lubricate the O-rings with sterile water before forcefully
seating the filter cartridges into the filter head assembly. While holding the packaging, insert the O-ring end
of the filter cartridge into the filter head.
21. Reattach the 25, 5, and 0.1 micron filter housings to the filter head assembly.
22. Enter the System 83 Plus™ service screen and activate the water inlet solenoid(s).
CAUTION:
Rapid change over from air to water can result in filter damage.
23. Slowly open the hot and cold water inlet valves and allow the water to flow through the water inlet filtration
assembly until the canisters are completely full with no visible air pockets.
24. Fill and drain the processing chamber twice from the service screen to rinse the water inlet filtration assembly.
