Printer Testing

1. From the service screen press (F4). The printer should print out a short test print that should be legible.

Solenoid Valve Testing

1. From the service screen, activate the drain pump, open the reservoir lid, and ensure fluid is not returning to
the reservoir through the HLD return solenoid. Slightly raise the drain hoses from the drain standpipe and
verify no fluid is flowing through the drain hoses from the drain and residual solenoids. Deactivate the drain
pump.
2. Activate the HLD feed pump and verify no fluid is leaking into the processing chamber through the HLD feed
solenoid. Deactivate the HLD feed pump.

Solenoid Valve Inspection and Cleaning

There are eight (8) solenoid valves designated for: Air, Detergent, Hand Rinse, High Level Disinfect Feed, High Level
Disinfect Return, Drain, Residual Drain and Water Inlet. Each one of these valves should be opened to clean the
valve screen (if applicable) and body, inspect diaphragm or plunger for wear, and install rebuild kit if needed. Refer
to the Solenoid Valves section under the Part Replacement Instructions.

Internal Filters and Backpack Filter

The following filters need to be replaced at every preventative maintenance.
CAUTION:
Only Custom Ultrasonics filters, adapters, accessories, and associated components have been
validated in the System 83 Plus™; therefore, when replacing these parts, use only OEM parts.

100 Micron Capsule Filter

Refer to the 100 Micron Capsule Filter Replacement (P/N 11087) section under Part Replacement Instructions for
replacement instructions.

HEPA Filter

Refer to the HEPA Filter Replacement (P/N 13075) section under Part Replacement Instructions for replacement
instructions.

Backpack (Charcoal) Filter

If applicable, refer to the Charcoal Filter Replacement (P/N 21017) section under Part Replacement Instructions for
replacement instructions.
