1. Loosen the drum capscrews, then remove capscrews
with thimbles, leaving two located 180° apart.

2. Remove both drum shaft locknut and the retainer
capscrews.

3. Remove bearing retainer and shim pack.
NOTE: Tag shim pack for reference during reassembly.
4. Remove retainer ring by removing retainer capscrews.

5. Remove the fi rst tapered roller bearing cone, then
the double bearing cup, spacer and second cone.
