4.3 Headers and Connectors

Fan Headers
The X11SDW-16C-TP13F has six 4-pin fan headers (FAN1 - FAN4, FANA, FANB). These
headers are backwards-compatible with the traditional 3-pin fans. However, fan speed
control is available for 4-pin fans only by Thermal Management via the IPMI 2.0 interface.
This motherboard supports dual cooling zone. The table below specifies which fan belongs
in which zone. Refer to the table below for pin definitions.

Chassis Intrusion
A Chassis Intrusion header is located at JL1 on the motherboard. Attach the appropriate cable
from the chassis to inform you of a chassis intrusion when the chassis is opened. Refer to
