9.1 Upgrade System

You can upgrade the system by the local USB storage device or by the remote FTP server.
Before You Start
• Prepare the upgrade file.
• Set PC running FTP server and the recorder to the same LAN. Run the 3rd-party TFTP software
on the PC and copy the firmware into the root directory of TFTP.
Steps
1. Go to Menu → System → Upgrade .
2. Enter password to get authentication.
3. Select upgrade as System Upgrade.
4. Select Upgrade Type.
5. Upgrade the system.

Note
The upgrade process takes about 10 minutes. Do not power off the recorder during the process.
The recorder will automatically restart after upgrade.

9.2 View System Information

You can view the system information including device model, serial number, firmware version, etc.
Steps
1. Go to Menu → System → Information .
2. View system information, including device model, serial number, firmware version, etc.

a. Copy the upgrade file to the root directory of the USB flash disk.
b. Insert the USB flash disk into the USB interface on the rear panel of the
recorder.
c. Select Refresh, and select the upgrade file from USB Device.
d. Select Upgrade.
