7.1 Set Recording Parameters

You can set recording parameters, which directly influence the video quality.
Steps
1. Go to Menu → Record .
2. Select Camera.
3. Optional: Check All Day Record.
4. Set recording parameters.
Stream
Main stream is used for HD storage and live view. Sub-stream is used for BD storage and live
view when the network bandwidth is insufficient.
Resolution
The higher the resolution, the clearer the image, and the higher the requirement of network
bandwidth.
Frame Rate
The higher the frame rate, the higher the requirement of network bandwidth, and the higher
the needed storage capacity.
Max. Bitrate
If the bitrate is variable, select the max. bitrate. The bitrate will change automatically below
the max. value.
Image Quality
If the bitrate is variable, you can select image quality according to your needs. The higher the
image quality, the higher the requirement of network bandwidth.
Video Encoding
Select H.265 (only supported by some models) or H.264 according to the actual needs.
5. Optional: If the connected camera supports audio, select Set of More Settings to set Video
Type as Video & Audio.
6. Select OK.

7.2 Set Image Parameters

Some recorder models support image parameters settings of positioning system after it is
connected.
Before You Start
Positioning system is connected to the recorder.
