Internal and Optical Errors
Optical Error
When an optical error occurs in the ADF, the [Error] screen on the touch screen displays one of the following
codes.
E2:74 Optical error (ADF Front)
If the problem persists after turning the power back on, please inform your service provider of the error
code below.
Code E2:74
E3:75 Optical error (ADF Back)
If the problem persists after turning the power back on, please inform your service provider of the error
code below.
Code E3:75
Take the following measures.
● Refer to
Cleaning the Inside of the Scanner (ADF) with a Cloth (page 121)
● Turn the scanner off then back on.
If the problem persists, write down the error code and contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this
product. Refer to the contact information in the Contact List if supplied with this product, or refer to the contact
information in the Contact for Inquiries section if provided in Safety Precautions supplied with this product, and
then make an inquiry.
Operator Panel error
When a touch screen error occurs, the [Error] screen on the touch screen displays the following code.
E6:D3 Operator Panel error
If the problem persists after turning the power back on, please inform your service provider of the error
code below.
Code E6:D3
Turn the scanner off then back on.
If the problem persists, write down the error code and contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this
product. Refer to the contact information in the Contact List if supplied with this product, or refer to the contact
information in the Contact for Inquiries section if provided in Safety Precautions supplied with this product, and
then make an inquiry.
EEPROM Error
If an EEPROM error occurs, the [Error] screen on the touch screen displays the following code.
E7:D2 EEPROM error
If the problem persists after turning the power back on, please inform your service provider of the error
code below.
