Maintenance and Cleaning

DANGER!
Risk of death by electric shock!
Before opening the housing cover, disconnect the
printing system from the mains supply and wait for
a moment until the power supply unit has
discharged.
NOTICE!
When cleaning the printing system, personal protective
equipment such as safety goggles and gloves are recommended.
Maintenance task
General cleaning (see chapter
9.1, page 82).
Clean the transfer ribbon
drawing roller (see section 9.2,
page 82).
Clean the print roller (see
chapter 9.3, page 82).
Clean the printhead (see
chapter 9.4, page 84).
Clean the label photocell (see
chapter 9.5, page 85).
Replace printhead (see chapter
9.6, page 86).
NOTICE!
The handling instructions for the use of Isopropanol (IPA) must
be observed. In the case of skin or eye contact, immediately
wash off the fluid thoroughly with running water. If the irritation
persists, consult a doctor. Ensure good ventilation.
