Removing A Filler Bracket From A Riser - Dell EMC VxFlex Ready Node R840 Manual

Install the expansion card into the expansion card riser
The procedure for installing the expansion card in the riser is identical for all risers.
This procedure should also be used when installing a NIC in a PCIe slot.
Before you begin
Follow all safety guidelines.
Procedure
1. Open the black expansion card latch on the riser.
2. Open the blue card holder latch on the riser.
3. If installed, remove the filler bracket.

Note
If applicable, connect the cables to the expansion card.
4. Hold the card by its edges, and align the card edge connector with the
connector on the riser.
5. Insert the card edge connector firmly into the expansion card connector until
the card is fully seated.
6. Close the expansion card retention latch.
