3.2.2.3 Set Audio Level
Set the Audio Level and Frequency by accessing the Installation Setup and following these steps:
1.
Rotate the small knob to display SET AUDIO LEVEL.

Rotate the small knob. The Navigator will cause a test beep on an external speaker. Continue rotating
the knob until the audio is set to the desired level.

Use the large knob to set the audio frequency in the same manner. Frequency can be set between
100 and 1,000 Hz.

3.2.2.4 Set CDI Sensitivity
Internal
To set the internal CDI sensitivity, access the Installation Setup and follow these steps:

Rotate the small knob to display the CDI Sensitivity page.

Rotate the large knob one click clockwise, then press

The factory default setting for the Internal CDI Sensitivity is ±5 nautical miles full scale. The Internal CDI
Sensitivity can be modified to ±5, ±2.5, ±1, ± 0.3, or ±0.1 nautical miles full scale. When set at ±0.1 nautical
mile full scale, one pixel width on the Navigator display equals approximately 25 feet of course deviation.
The Navigator can be configured to display the internal CDI sensitivity in nautical miles, statute miles or
kilometers. See Section 3.2.2.5 for information on setting user units.
NOTE: The Internal CDI will always be less than or equal to the external setting. For example, if the internal
CDI is set to 2.5 nm and the external CDI is set to 1.0 nm, both will be set to 1.0 nm.
External
If the Navigator is driving an external CDI, access the Installation Setup and follow these steps to set the
sensitivity:
1.
Rotate the small knob to display the CDI Sensitivity page.
2.
Rotate the large knob 2 clicks clockwise and press

The CDI sensitivity scale for an external CDI is limited to three settings: ±5 nm, ±1 nm, and ±0.3 nm full scale.
For optimum autopilot tracking performance, ±1 nm full scale is recommended.
User-selectable units are available for the Internal CDI only. The external CDI is only displayed in nautical miles
to meet FAA requirements.
