Current certification guidelines (AC 20-138A) require an altitude input for A1 and A2 certification. The
FreeFlight 2101 I/O Approach Plus accepts a serial altitude input in addition to DADS and Synchro formats.
Additional equipment may be necessary to provide this serial altitude input.

TSO-C129 requires a navigation display to provide a navigation warning flag. The display on the 2101
I/O is not intended as the primary navigation display; however, NAV flag triggering capability is available
using digital and discrete outputs identified elsewhere in this document.
1.5.2

GPS Cable Requirements

The GPS antenna cable is to be supplied or fabricated by the installation agency to meet the following requirements:

DC Resistance
A "GPS Antenna Fail" message is displayed if resistance limitation is exceeded.
1.5.2.1 GPS Cable Lengths Greater Than 50 Feet
RG-393 is an acceptable cable for installations greater than 50 feet in length. An equivalent cable may be used,
but must meet the criteria listed above. An alternative to RG-393 is available from PIC Wire & Cable. The cable
is PIC P/N 33141 and the matching TNC connectors are PIC P/N 190308 and PIC P/N 190309 for both the
straight and right angle type. The PIC Wire & Cable address is:
