HSI Display:
Cross track deviation, TO/FROM, and navigation valid flag data from the VOR, ILS or Trimble
2101 I/O Approach Plus can be displayed on the HSI indicator depending on the state of the
NAV/GPS.
1.
To display left/right cross track deviation, TO/FROM and flag valid information
on the HSI indicator from the FreeFlight 2101 I/O, place the navigation selector
switch to the GPS position.
To provide proper HSI display, the pilot should manually select the same
Desired Track on the HSI course selector as indicated by the FreeFlight 2101
I/O Approach Plus during track leg changes of a flight plan, after selecting a
course to or from a waypoint, or as directed during a SID or STAR
procedure.

FLIGHT DIRECTOR/AUTOPILOT:
This function is currently inoperative in the King Air A90.
F.
HOLDING
If Holding is to be executed at any waypoint, the following procedures are to be accomplished:
1.
To place the FreeFlight 2101 I/O Approach Plus into Hold Mode (HLD), Press
the "-D>" key, turn large outer knob to suspend FLT, use the small inner knob
to select the desired holding course and then press the "-D>" key. The HLD
annunciator will illuminate.
2.
To release the Hold Mode, press the "-D>" key, use small inner knob to select
desired course and press "-D>" key. The HLD annunciator will extinguish.
